A New Year and some new changes.

I know I haven't been posting at all really, but I've been torn as to feeling like I can only blog about hunting or makeup and so when I do post other stuff I guess I feel guilty.. weird, I know. I wanted to make a change to my blog that wouldn't limit me (or make me feel limited) as to what I can post about.
I am a stay at home mom who likes to do a bunch of things for and with my family. I hope those of you who read my blog will understand. I feel I can post a lot more if I have more of a broader range of what I'm posting about. Thanks for understanding. :)

We are going to be spending New Year's Eve with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law at their house and my sister will be joining us. No biggie... we will end up leaving at 10:30 or so and watching the ball drop here at the house. I am planning on opening my special bottle of Crazy Ex Girlfriend wine! Woo. GO me. lol Oh and I made some Cake Batter Chocolate Chip cookies from They are all things wonderful and good for a great New Year. They have sprinkles and stars and of course cake batter! YUM. I'll post pictures later.

Also, I'm not usually the one to make New Year's Resolutions BUT I am converting to Catholicism this year and cannot tell you how happy I've been because I realize that what other people think, talk, or do about me or some of my choices has no impact on me. That's a decision that I've made. I'm going to QUIT worrying about what everyone else thinks and trust what God wants is right. Also, I'm trying SO hard to not judge others because we have NO idea what they are going or have been through. I truly want everyone to have peace with themselves because we are only here for a short amount of time and I want my time here to mean something.

Sorry to bore you with all that, but it's just how I feel. I've opened my heart up for God and just feel so much better about everything. It's all clearer and I don't have a heavy heart filled with stress, ugliness, and just down right unhappiness. I hope the New Year brings all of you wonderful readers a new sense of peace and a wonderful happy 2013. :)

I Just got the first doe of the season!!!

Haha. I know it's supposed to be buck... But hey we get what we can get! It was a modern gun doe hunt in specified zones here in Arkansas and I just so happened to go hunting with my dad... Who goes to a deer camp in a little city named Sheridan (well outside of Sheridan). I got out to my stand around 0630 and when daylight breaks I ask my dad (through a text message shhh!!) where in the heck is the feeder? He responded with right in front of you. I look and I don't ever find it. My phone lights up again with a text from my dad saying be sure and look down the road. I said okay, and looked to my right see nothing... Take my time looking to the left and BAZINGA! There were two doe crossing the street. Now, granted this is my second deer EVER, I still get jumpy and shaky and I got a neck shot... To some that's good but I've always been told a chest shot is the best shot. So here is my little doe:

You can see the bullet hole in her neck there... She didn't even budge. As soon as I shot she plopped down. So yay for some deer meat... I feel like we have been out of deer meat forever but it's only just been for about 3 weeks or so hehe. Ready for some good eatins!

Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Bow season officially begins! :)

Hello Hello!!

So here in Arkansas, our bow season officially started and I feel we got a good start. Didn't get anything, but kinda saw what was going on and what maybe we would see in the future. OH, and these are really shaky... I forgot to get a tripod before we left.. sorry for that, it can be annoying.

Saturday 9/15/12
So, we weren't really prepared for me to be using a crossbow this season so I was in a deer blind which was about 65 yards away from the feeder and so I didn't try to kill anything, because it was too far away for me to try and get an accurate shot. I got out in the stand (almost too late) about 6:30am and around a hour or two later I saw a doe. She was either really old or she was sick. We thought maybe she had mange and was starving or something she was really little.

Sunday 9/16/12
I got out to the stand really early this morning about 5:45am... and again around 7-7:30 I got to where I needed to stand up and stretch.. I happen to look over to my left and just stood there for a minute watching and then I decide to set back down and I see this little guy. I thought he was a 4 point and so I didn't make any effort to get closer because I definitely would have killed him if he were bigger. Actually, watching this over with my husband it almost looks as if we can count at least 6 legal points around the base of the horns. So have a look at him and thanks for reading. We will be back at it next weekend. :)

Review: Sugarpill Heartbreaker Palette

I've had this palette for awhile but was a little hesitant to try it because I didn't think I could do the loud colors but I'm really impressed with this palette! The pigment is obviously amazing! These colors are bright and loud, but very easy to blend and tame down.

The Details:

  • 34.00 dollars
  • 4 medium sized pans of eyeshadow
  • 2am, Acidberry, Mochi, and Velocity
  • Can be purchased here

I am a sucker for packaging and for me to get a handwritten thanks (incredibly cool), a sticker, and a sample all wrapped up in pink tissue when I open my box is amazing! I can't get over how much detail they put into it. For that I will be purchasing from Sugarpill again!

Color pay off is amazing. The Blue shade know as Velocity, seemed a little on the chalky side. The electric green color is called Acidberry, on the skin it's a bit more yellow-green. 2 am is the plum purple shade and is true to pan. Mochi is the seafoam green in the bottom left color, it's true to pan color as well. It is probably my favorite, just because it's different.

Should You Buy It?:

Like I said, I was a little hesitant to buy this but I'm very glad I did! It's something different to add to my collection and I feel I could do a lot of looks with this palette. The packaging was also awesome! If you aren't looking for a little variety then I would stick to something a little more "normal" colored. It's a fun palette and comes with a lot of extras!

Haul: Camo & Clothes

Hello!! I'm sooo excited. Hunting season is just upon us, and I'm getting ready by doing a little shopping. A friend on my Facebook who is an avid bow hunter (and very pretty too) shared a link to a company called Just For Does. I saw the post and noticed they had really cute clothes, and considering I'm a jeans and tshirt kind of gal, I just could resist! I bought 2 shirts. 1 is a turquoise tank top with red font that says Just For Does (clearance 19.95) and pretty ornate scrolls around it.
I also got a really cute black T-shirt that has a little doe on front with the companies name Just For Does. Then on the back is We Hunt Like You, Only Prettier. (retails 25.00) If you girls are into tshirts and hunting, I HIGHLY suggest checking them out. Shipping was fast and amazing customer service. Another thing the company has is scent free shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion to keep those pretty smells away while hunting! Visit them at

Review: Sigma's Beauty Expert Brow Design Kit

Hello Hello!

I recently purchased Sigma's deluxe brow kit and thought I would write you lovelies about it.

The Details:

I was really impressed with the detail on this brow kit. I have the Anastasia brow kit (29.00 at Sephora) and it is only meant for Blondes and doesn't come with all the goodies that this brow kit comes with. Although, it is a bit pricey, you get a wide range of brow shades which you could use for anything yourself for a dramatic result or on others that you might do make up on.

This isn't the easiest thing to carry around with you, it's not all light and absolutely bulky. I also noticed that the brow shades were a tad chalky but overall a good pigment pay off.

Shades in order of palette from bottom to top
The highlight pencil is a dual pencil and one end is a more glittery, shimmery brow highlighter and the more pink side is a milky pink highlighter. I was pleased with this pencil, it was smooth and had great color pay off.

The other pencil is an actual brow pencil. You have a dark shade and a lighter shade. I didn't care for this pencil honestly. I felt like it was really hard to get the color off. I know it should be hard because you are drawing little lines to feel in your brows. Most likely won't be using it.

And last but not least the brow gel duo. It comes one end in a clear gel to set your powder with and the other side a quite dark brown brow gel.

Should you get it?:

Personally, I think I will enjoy this because really the only time I actually do my eyebrows, is if I go out for the evening or something more classy to go to. So it's perfect for me to do at home. If you are wanting something for traveling, I wouldn't purchase it. It's great for those that do make up on other people because you have a wide range of colors, but you can also use eye shadows to fill your brows, those work too. So it's up to you!

Better than False Lashes by Too Faced!

Hello hello beautiful people! I purchased the Too Faced Better Than False Lashes System about 2 weeks ago. I really like it for a short dramatic look. The mascara is really sticky... Which reminds me of false lashes. I think they would be absolutely perfect for a night on the town or just a dinner date. When I've worn them all day long, they seem to get goopy and sticky. They also stick to your bottom lashes and makes you fill like you can't open your eye. (scary, I know) The formula does work though. Here are some before and after images with my lashes:

You can see the length and thickness improved. Also, I'm not a fan of the two step process but we all can't have it our way. You apply the mascara first, then you apply the nylon fibers and just first glance you see what looks like pieces of cotton (nylon fibers) that are wrapped around it and you are going to apply these to your lashes and just build on the thickness you prefer. Then you will re-apply the mascara over the nylon fibers and again build up to your desired effect. The directions on the box are below as well as my final suggestion.

  1. Prime- Use the activating mascara to create a base to adhere the weightless, Flexistretch™ nylon fibers.
  2. Sculpter- Brush on 1-2 coats of the exclusive Flexistretch™ nylon fibers to build outrageous length and volume.
  3. Fixer- Finish by sealing the exclusive Flexistretch™ nylon fibers with the ultra-black activating mascara to create that "Better Than False Lashes" effect!

Honestly, I probably wouldn't pay 35.00 for it again but I will use this box up for sure. I like that I can have "falsies" without having to use glue and make sure it dries and then make sure I place them correctly. So, it's up to you! I like the convenience of them.

Peace and Blessings 😍

Hello Hello. Long time no talk y'all! I'm back, at least for a little while. I have been going and going non stop since I went to Alabama almost 2 months ago! Rain is a good thing!

Last Sunday we picked up a bunch of seeds at our local Lowes and We planted cantaloupe, watermelon, onions, tomatoes, and corn and so far we at least have 4 plants per vegetable/ fruit! I'm SO excited! I had NO idea that it would be this easy and so quick... I mean we paid at the most 2.50 for a pack of seeds and have at least a couple vegetables and fruit! Anyway enough with the typing here are some pictures!

This was half way through the week last week:

And here they are now: (1 week later)

Brought them inside because it's supposed to rain... Can't wait to see what's going to happen with them. We will be moving them into the ground, just wanted them to get a head start! :)

Peace and Blessings

Beauty Army Box

Hello! So I got my Beauty Army box in the mail today! I was actually filming my Urban Decay haul video and it came in during the middle of it, so I thought I would just go ahead and jump right on it. If you don't know what Beauty Army is, it is a monthly subscription sight that has up to 9 samples and you can choose 6 of them to get that month. It's 12.00 instead of the 10 but I think it's worth it. They give like HUGE samples (like really they are the "deluxe" that everyone else claims they give. I'm not going to continue my subscription with Beauty Army just because I'm going to be taking a road trip to Texas and I'm saving every little pretty penny I can until after June! :D So anyway Here is what I got!
  • Karuna - Anti-oxidant Treatment Mask - Chinese Green Tea and African Chrysanthellis form a free-radical scavenging shield to protect skin from environmental elements and help slow the aging process.
  • Myface.cosmetics - My mix foundation in Fair 02
  • Cell Ceuticals - NeoCell Micro-resurfacing skin treatment
  • Kellett - Clarifying Acne Treatment
  • Mama Mio - Shrink To Fit - Hip and Thigh Cream
  • Perfume - It's in my video on YouTube... I can't find the little piece of paper -_-
So, I pretty much can't wait to try the mask on! It looks like a lot of fun. The foundation that came in this box is a pretty lightweight and light coverage foundation. It would work well as a travel coverup if you want to rub it on your skin. The Cell Ceuticals is an exfoliate, it has a real rough texture to  get rid of the dead skin cells on your face. I haven't used the rest but I'll let you know if they are worth the buy for sure. :) Thanks everyone for stopping by my blog! If you have any recommendations or anything PLEASE feel free to let me know.

Peace and Blessings,

April 2012 Myglam bag!

This months Myglam bag was based on girls night out! I was really impressed with this months Myglam! Came with actual makeup and I loved it! Here is the specks:

April 12 Myglam!
  • Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil - create your unique eye look with these creamy glide on pencils in the latest colors. Built to last 24/7.
  • DermStore lip quench moisture infused lip treatment - using a blend of nourishing oils, this treatment softens and smooths lips.
  • All-belle Eyelashes - accentuate your eyes for any occasions with these gorgeous faux lashes.
  • Myglam All-over eyeshadow brush and eyeliner brush - Handpicked by Michelle (Phan), enjoy two additional signature pink brushes to add to your exclusive Myglam collection.
I actually own the 24/7 eyeliner(s) and ADORE all of them! That is my go to eyeliner because it stays put with out the fallout! The DermStore lip quench is pretty good too! It's something good to put on before you apply your makeup that way you get some good moisture before you put lipstick etc on. I'm not fond of the smell but it's not awful and I like the consistency and the frost that shows up on your lips. I Loved the eyelashes! They were so natural and they went on really easy. I actually wore them to a concert and they held up all night and gave me a little "oomph" but was still classy and natural looking. It got really hot and I was worried they would melt off but they stayed in place and looked so cute! The brushes are awesome! Everybody can use the extra brushes, but they are actually a good quality of brush! I've used them to apply eyeshadow and they work awesome! Overall, I give this months Myglam an A- because it was all beauty related and they were great samples! Thanks Myglam for an awesome bag. OH! And the little pink bag is too cute! It's like a metallic pink and it reminds me of Blondie from back in the 80's! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Be sure and check out my YouTube channel!!

Peace and Blessings,

Min Lou who

Hey guys! So I'm going to start a nail of the week. I usually buy 2 OPI nail polishes per two weeks. So I'll try and use 1 of the polishes each week. normally my nail polish last two weeks and start to chip but I'm going to switch out every week. So my very 1st Nail Polish of the week is: OPI: Feeling Hot Hot Hot and OPI: Pedal Faster Suzi!

I originally bought the pedal faster Suzi about 2 weeks ago and thought it complimented the bright pink of feeling Hot Hot Hot. So I painted all my nails with the feeling hot hot hot and just 1 coat of the pedal faster Suzi on my ring finger.

Hope you enjoyed and let me know if you like my NOTW!

Peace and Blessings

Sunday Funday!

Hey y'all!! So we (my family and I) had a wonderful weekend! We went to mass (Hello fellow Catholics!!) then we went out to the in-laws house and shot some guns!

We shot my father-in-law's very old and antique 1892 Winchester. It was awesome and had a feather light trigger! You can't hardly find bullets for it so we were really lucky to be able to shoot it. Then my 4 year old says she wants to shoot it and I kept saying maybe when you get older but next thing I know her and her daddy are bent down with the gun and she is shooting it! She loved it!! I'm SO glad!

Her dad was in the military so we do reinforce safety with guns of course... They are not toys by any mean but it's also good to know how to use them as well. Sorry if you have different beliefs about gun control but my family and I will shoot guns! We hunt and practice safe gun habits... Nuff said! : )

Peace and Blessings

April 2012 Birchbox

Birchbox Subscription

I have been getting Birchbox subscription since about November of 2011, so that makes this my what 4th or 5th birchbox. I LOVE getting the samples in the mail. Sometimes they are good... sometimes they are bad but you only pay 10.00 for the month and you get a present in the mail every month of unexpected samples that you have NO idea what they might be. This months Birchbox was interesting to say the least. It came with the following:
  • Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck Perfume
  • J.R. Watkins Hand and Cuticle Salve
  • Zoya Spring Collection in Bevin (Nail Polish)
  • Dropps Packet Laundry Detergent (yes, I'm serious)
  • Willa Lavender Facial Towelettes
I do have to say that I LOVE Taylor Swift's perfume, (not a huge fan of her) it's my kind of smell real floral and sweet smelling. MMM! The hand and cuticle salve smells a lot like Vick's vapor rub with a touch of lavender. I didn't really notice a huge difference in my awful cuticles overnight but I'll keep on salving it up (that word is so weird to me!) I really like the Zoya Bevin Nail Polish it's almost a mossy green. Looks almost like a browner mint green to me if that makes any sense, it just is maybe an off minty color. I used the Dropps Laundry packet today when I washed my husbands work uniforms (Guinea Pig!). Everything came out okay I guess lol. It isn't like bursting with smell but hey it washed 2 loads of laundry so I shouldn't complain! ;). I used the Willa facial towelettes last night as well and LOVE them... They are super soft and clean off some heavy duty makeup and smell SO good. This month's birchbox wasn't a complete waste! I would probably give it a B+ this month just because I liked almost all of the items and laundry has nothing to do with beauty but I guess it works too. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog! Check out my video on YouTube about this month's Birchbox linked below!
Have a great day!
